The longer you use Windows XP (and most likely Vista) the more clogged your registry will become until your computer ultimately slows to a crawl. This product cleans your registry without crashing your computer, bringing about a marked improvement in routine.
Norton SystemWorks 2008 Premier Edition 11.0, Fix-It Utilities 8 Professional and others claim to do the same thing, but this is the only product I've found that in fact does it. Highly recommended.
UPDATE (11/18/08): PC Tools has apparently changed the name of this product to PC TOOLS DESKTOP MAESTRO 3 USER (WIN 2000,XP,VISTA). I'm now running it, and as far as I can see, it's the same product. |

| A fantastic program that just cleans up your registry. The registry being clogged from unremoved links to ancient programs will really slow down the start up of your computer. This program takes care of all those disconnects. Better than the higher priced tool programs. |

I bought the "3 pack" and, when I installed on a computer that had had an earlier translation of Registry Mechanic, the program didn't pick up on the fact that a newer translation (and a newer subscription date) had been installed. I sent an email to their product support and, lo and behold, I got a rejoinder back that in fact told me how to solve the conundrum!
The program itself found hundreds of problems that a further registry cleaner I had been using missed. The computers start quicker; what could be better? |
